Earlier this month, adidas Originals showcased its Forum-derived Triple Platform Low in “Crew Yellow/Core Black/Silver Metallic,” and now the stacked pair is set to arrive in a stealthy “Core Black/Solar Red” colorway.

Like the pair that came before it, this blacked-out iteration is made from a mixture of utility-inspired materials — however, whereas the yellow offering presented itself covered in a black net webbing, this pair opts for something more tactile. For example, the toe box is made from heavy canvas, intersecting with leather on the toe box before more leather constructs the eyestay placket and mid-panel support.

Here, we find printed Three Stripes on a nylon mesh backing, synthetic overlays marking out the heel components, and a mesh tongue covered in the aforementioned web netting. Utility eyelets found on hiking boots grace the eyestay with “Solar Red” detailing adding to the underground aesthetic, while black rope laces thread across the tongue alongside the new addition of a metal and webbing tongue clip.

Of course, to round out the pair, adidas Originals adds a stacked sole unit that’s similar to that found on the Forum, only here it’s three times the size. adidas branding on the heel counter completes the look.
